![]() ![]() TL DR - I had moderate success with the HD PVR 1, but am having several issues with the HD PVR 2. Has anyone else run into and solved these issues? I'm missing the HD PVR 1, and am seriously considering even the Roxio over this junk. Tried different USB ports on both PC's, tried different consoles, and I'm looking at a 5% success rate with this thing. I've unistalled the software, re-installed it. I've spoken with Hauppauge support, and they tell me it's my PC. We decided to drag out the big gaming machine to see if my PC wasn't powerful enough, but it was the same thing. Most of the time, the PC won't recognize it, and the other times it will freeze about 10 minutes into the recording. Now, I can't get the PVR 2 to work at all. It was only 4 GB, so I figured the file was corrupted. But then I could not watch the video, and every time I tried to transfer it, my USB thumb drive or 1 TB external HD would say that the file was too large to export. It recorded just fine, about 45 minutes of it. We started with Metal Gear Solid 5 on the PS3 (*through the included component converter). It did not come with ArcSoft, but I figured they fixed the bugs in the Hauppauge Capture software. It was a little smaller, a little lighter, and had an HDMI input. The program would freeze every once in a while, but overall it was okay. MP4 ended up screwing up somewhere from Capture to Youtube Upload. I could only seem to capture in the exotic format ".M2TS", which I used for the Wii, 360, and PS3. It came with ArcSoft capture software, and it ended up being the only one I would use. The Hauppauge capture software was garbage. I was a little disappointing that it did not have an HDMI input, but the component worked well, especially with the All-In-One adapter it came with. I started my LP with the Hauppauge 1445 HD PVR Gaming Edition. ![]()
